Allergy-Friendly Trick or Treating at MNSSHP!

By Sara F.

I had the privilege of attending the first party of the season on Friday, August 25th . I am happy to report back on how the Walt Disney World Parks handle Guests who have food allergies so they can still be a part of the Spooktacular fun!

First, upon arrival to the Parks, you will receive your Trick or Treating Bag. The Allergy-Friendly bag is teal. You have two options for collecting your teats, which I have listed below.

1. At the various Trick or Treating locations throughout the park, you can collect a token.  You can then take all of the tokens you have collected  to the Town Square Theater to “trade-in” for your Allergy Friendly Treats. The Trick or Treating locations are hard to miss. They are listed on the map, have a giant lit-up beacon, and have a smiling Cast Member holding up a sign.

2. Your second option is to head right towards the Town Square Theater upon arrival to the Party.  Here, you can choose which treats work best with your food allergy.  Walt Disney World supplies information on each treat they carry in an easy to understand menu.

I hope this information is helpful to you in navigating Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party with a food allergy! Now that you don’t have to spend time reading every candy label, you have more time to enjoy the seasonal events included with your party ticket! They include Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade (held twice each party night),  the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular (held three times each party night) and the Happy Hollowishes Fireworks, held each party night at 10:15 PM, weather permitting.

I’ve been fortunate to have been to Walt Disney World more than 3o times and counting!  I love working on my client’s trips as though they were my very own and love knowing that I play a part in helping families create wonderful memories together. If you’d like my assistance in helping your family have a Memorable and Magical vacation, please feel free to contact me!
